This course has been developed to cover the broad range of emergencies and workplaces and is suitable for people working in emergency response roles.
This course is a skills set made up of individual units of competency from the Public Safety Training Package (PUA12).
Students who successfully complete this nationally recognised training will be awarded the statement of attainment for:
Fire Safety Officer (NSW)

This course is for existing or prospective members of an Emergency Control Organisation and/or persons responsible for leading an Emergency Control Organisation or in a position that may require them to take control of an emergency impacting a facility/workplace (Chief Warden, Deputy Chief Warden, Communications Officer, Area Warden, Warden, Emergency Response Team Member, First Aid Officer or security personnel).
Successful completion of this skill set meets the minimum requirements to be qualified and act as a Fire Safety Officer (NSW Healthcare Policy Directive PD2010_024).

The Assessor will gather evidence of competence from a combination of performance task, practical scenarios and theory assessments.
Reasonable adjustments will be made for people with learning difficulties once identified.
